Our group of twenty-four missionaries (thirteen adults and eleven youth) traveled to Western Maine from August 14-21, 2004.  While there, we helped seven families by making their homes safer and drier. Our projects including replacing decks and steps on trailer homes, fixing broken plumbing, installing drywall, and painting metal roofs to stop leaks. Thank you to our dedicated site leaders, Jeff Miller, Rich Miller, and Rob Reed for making sure we got the job done and teaching us so much.

Our host group this year was East Parish Housing, a Presbyterian housing ministry based in Starks, Maine. On Friday, their director thanked us for our efforts and told me that we accomplished more than any other group this summer - even much larger teams.
